To xerxes and immature- I was asking about being killed because of jealously of their power, specifically relating to Julius Cesaer's situation not just rulers who had been killed. Its a little bit different. And Hitler killed himself, so maybe YOU should watch the history channel.

Holy crap! Abe Lincoln, JFK, Oliver Cromwell, Hitler, Franz Ferdinand (not the band)- honestly- take the advice of the guy above and pick up a freakin' book- or if that's too intense, at least watch 5 minutes of the history channel.

Hitler was not killed because of his power. He commited suicide. Napoleon wasn´t neither killed. In Middle Ages you can finds a whole bunch of European kings killed by relatives or factions who desired the power.

I would say that the most of the assassinated leaders died because of their power. There's usually no point in killing a weak leader since you could try to manipulate him/her and use him/her as a scape goat for your actions and if this fails, then kill him/her.
