I personally would get married, but each to their own. You and your partner may not feel the need to get married, you may just be happy in the long term relationship.

I have been married to the most wonderful lady in the world for 11 years now. For you though, staying in a long term relationship may be best. How do you feel about being married? How does the person your with feel about marriage? The two of you should sit down and be honest and open about your feelings. Once you both know what the other person is thinking, you can go from there. Good luck

Ok, look at it this way....the relationship is a house metaphorically. Would you rather the door be locked or unlocked? Locked you can't leave. Unlocked you can, but don't have to. Think about it. You can be in that house forever, totally true blue and never leave if you don't want to. Once that door locks, you CAN'T! See how the dynamic changes?

if you are ready to get married then go for it. if you're not ready then the person you are with should understand and wait..as long as you don't make them wait forever...if you're positive they're not the one...why even bother with the relationship, ya know?
