Hygiene and oral sex between two women?

Do lesbians find they have to douche? I ask because I've had girl friends that believed douching was bad for them and hence never did it, this I believe is what caused it to smell and taste below par. Was this the reason, do women have to douche in order to not be disgusting down there?

Woman should not douche as it disrupts the natural flora (balance of good bacteria) and can cause infections. Just regular old hygiene by washing the outside of the genitalia should suffice, but if odor or discharge is alarming a doctor should be contacted.

Women should not douche on a regular basis. This can actually irritate the delicate tissues and disrupt the ph balance, opening her up to a bad infection, making her smell and taste really rank. A normal, healthy vag IS clean on it's own, although after sex she should urinate to avoid getting a bladder infection.

it really depends on their preference some say yes some say no I think its good at least every 5 times a year i mean between sex and a females monthly they should douche -always remember when you have oral sex to use protection it could be a STD so be careful with your partners-but to answer your question no they don't have to but from a females point of view they should at least a couple of times it does help!!!!!!!!and a good shower before foreplay as well or witch-hazel pads I heard that is very refreshing for the girl

A woman doesn't have to douche to stay clean, bathing does the job just fine.
