i'm always asking the beginners to learn the speed of tennis balls. by knowing the speed you will try to adjust your movement when you hit the ball. you need to understand that in a match the ball will never comes to you; you need to come and hit the ball. then you need to practice tennis strokes; study how other players hit the ball and try to duplicate. for this all you need is a never-ending practice.
good luck and enjoy tennis as i do.

Ok you're a bigginer so the most important thing in tennis is PRACTICING.but How?
you have two options:1 practice with a coach and 2 practice with a good partner who is better than you.
but beacuse of you're bigginer you dont have a good partner (probably)
so you should practice with your coach. and you should practice at least
5 hours a week (Carlos Moya practices 5 hours a day.)

I have a general idea. You use the racket to hit the ball over the net, but make sure that it lands inside the line, because if it does go "out of bounds" then your opponent gets the point.
