OK, I'm a poop observer too, for scientific reasons of course. Green poop comes from drinking concord grape juice for sure. It has to do with the color of the foods you eat and drink. Drink a lot of V8 juice and see what color it is. A lot of dairy makes it almost brown mustard color.
I babysit grandchildren in diapers and that is why I know the color of poop so well. I change diapers every day.

I'm just guessing, but I would think that it had to do with your diet. Lots of green leafy vegetables in; lots of green poop out.
Don't know. Check out the experts on this at PoopReport.

I'm not a specialist of anything, but yes, it has to do with your diet. If you eat anything green, or too much, it will change color. If you eat a lot of chocolate, it will be darker. Now I am not comparing dogs with humans, but when I change my dogs food, theirs also change color and texture. Too much greasey food will make it loose and runny. Just watch what you eat. If you are worried about it, ask your doctor, but other wise I wouldn't worry. Now if you don't go at all, then that is the time to worry. At least you are eating healthy.

brown color of feces is due to not only the food you eat and the pigments-colors in the food(plants-green) but also the combination or blending of two bile pigments: bilirubin (red) and biliverdin (green) which come from the recycling of hemoglobin from all the dying red blood cells we recycle each day. (Red plus green equals BROWN,so that is USUAL color of feces.)

So, when bile from our gallbladder is added to our small intestine the color of stool changes pretty dramatically. If your gall bladder has gall stones, they may be blocking the bile delivery to the duodenum, then the feces will be a chalky grey color, a sign of gallstones usually.

How much green vegetation-food do you eat each day, esp lately?
