i dont think there is exactly any procedure of uninstalling Xp if u havent completely installed...
u can do 1 thing get another copy of the cd (bootable cd 1 by which u can start the computer) and boot the computer with this cd.
in the installation options choose to format the partition u previously insatlled the os and reinstall it.

The following instructions will wipe everything off of your hard drive, and that means Windows XP and all of your files.

Put in the boot disc and press whatever key it says to boot from the disc. Don't Repair Windows, you want to delete it. Try to find your partitions (should be C:\) and try to format the discs, using full (not quick) NTFS, or FAT if it's really old, but try NTFS first. This will wipe your entire hard disc clean.

(I'm not sure, but what can happen?)

sure there is a way...get a Windows 98 boot floppy and do an FDISK..better yet...set the system, to boot to CD-ROM and use the xp cd to reformat the drive....kill the power once the format is complete
