This child's diagnosis is bipolar. She has seen "people" since she was three, now nine. Could she actually be seeing these friends that make her do bad things, like sticking sissors in baby dolls throats. Or are these just more symptoms?

She is on meds and has been to therapy.. She is a little sweetheart..she is not my kid..but a friends youngest. She does these things during the night from what i understand. The other kids are afraid to sleep. The docs upped her meds, guess to help keep her asleep. Could she see some sort of spirits that the rest of us cant?

first your friend needs to help her other kids feel safe... locks on the doors.

She needs a proper diagnosis. If she sees evil spirits in the home they live in or nearby it is all possible. This is a very complex question and one that should not be taken lightly. Getting several opinions may be helpful...no one can be totally right. If she has
schizophrenia..that is very difficult to diagnosis..especially in a 9 year old. You may have to look outside the box to truly be a help.
a hypnotist may be helpful also.

whatever you do ..the FAMILY safety and best interest should be taken into account FIRST

When I was once little I had "The Man Who Says This And That". I nonetheless consider utilising him as an excuse to do all forms of sassy matters. I am lovely definite imaginary peers are common. Although, your sister will have to on the very least, sit down down and speak to her baby approximately what's going on. In my case, I might act out in an effort to get awareness. And I continually got additional awareness whilst I talked approximately my "adorable" buddy. Is he bored, lonely, and so forth.. He is at an age that he will have to recognize stealing is fallacious and isn't "adorable". Many intellectual issues, akin to bi-polar disease and more than one personalities don't but show up themselves at this kind of younger age. In a few instances, if there was a exceptional deal of trama to the baby, his emotions is also providing themselves in unwanted behaviors, akin to stealing. Ufortunatly, there isn't so much you'll do with out your sister's consent. Chances are, he's flawlessly common.

She needs therapy and maybe med therapy. Sounds pretty tough. Mental illness is never easy. She seems too young to be fully diagnosed. She still has puberty to go through. Good luck to both of you.

These are other symptoms. You need to get her to a different doctor (see as many docs as needed until you are satified that she is actually receiving the correct treatment) & she needs to get some medication (here too, you will have to try to get her the one that works best) Good luck

She may just being looking for attention. It's very possible that there are really things making her do these things inside her head, but a doctor is the only one that can really tell.

My first coment is to Goldwing, we can tell you not Mr. sensitive, have a heart!!!! Now to more impotant things. I have a relative who is going through something very similar with her adopted daughter. please get her into somekind of therepy, maybe get her into projects or crafts and keep her busy. incourage her to talk about her feelings and what "they" say to her and you should keep a diary of her actions too. If needed teach her how to talk to God and let her know that she is not alone. That is what my relative did but they have God in there life and some donot good luck.

could be using her bipolar problem to keep doing the things she wants to do. But there are such things as demons seek her professional help if this continues; she might do harm to herself and others.

not to scare you but I feel I must ask this question. Has she ever been sexually molested? The reason I ask alot of abused children respond in that manner.
