Let it go !!! Wild creatures need to remain in the wild.

I don't know what kind of lizard it is, but if it is an insectivore then it should be eating some sort of insects, not fruits. And you can get crickets at just about any pet store. But on a further note, RELEASE THE POOR THING! How would you feel if something big enough to hold you in its hand just grabbed you and tossed you in a tiny cage? I am sorry for being kinda blunt, but I just don't like it when people take animals from the wild.

Please just release the lizard back into the wild where it will be happiest. If you must have a pet lizard, get one from a pet shop but do lots of reading on line about lizards first. The majority of them eat insects. State conservation departments recommend not keeping wild animals any more than 2 weeks because they do not acclimate well back to the wild after that. Wild lizards help keep the nuisance insect population under control.

I agree with Tigger... if you don't know exactly what kind it is or what's it's normal diet and climate are, please just take it to where you found it and let it go. It can be very difficult to care for lizards in capativity, even when you DO know what you're doing.
If you really must keep it, take it to a pet store to have it identified and get the correct info on caring for it.

Poor thing....it must be terrified! If you want to really do good for it, something better then finding out what it eats - Release it ! thats the best thing you can do for it! It'll find its own food in the wild.
There are loads of other awesome lizards and geckos in most pet shops. Check those out. :-)

Let it go. You should never keep a lizard caught in the wild.
