First, realize that every one of them would be just as stressed as you are. Make sure you know your subject very well; the source of some discomfort is fear of failure... if you know your stuff, you will be speaking from knowledge instead of notes. One thing that works for me is to view this as a discussion more than a presentation and invite interaction from the audience. This is one time where you will be able to say what you have to say and likely not be interrupted... so take advantage of the situation and say what you need to say. It helps if you believe in the message you are conveying.
One technique you can use before starting: take a very deep breath, then let it out very slowly... do this 3 times. This will force your body to relax, which will help you to relax.
You'll be great.... no worries!

Pretend you're an actor playing a part, and take on the "role" of the speaker. It will help you remove yourself from the situation a little. And breathing exercises help, too. Remember, if you have nervous energy, it's still energy! You can use that energy to your advantage and channel it into better speaking. :)

Focus on what you have to tell the people. Breathe, breathe, breathe and close your eyes and breathe. Focus on your body and how it feels to breathe. Speak about something that is really important to you and that you really want others to know about. Focus on the subject not what others might think of you, but what you want to tell abou the subject. And breathe with your eyes closed just before it starts.

Pee your pants before you get up and talk. After that, nothing else will seem embarrassing.
