seriously, no, you cant own galaxies or nebulae. You could, however, get a piece of asteroid. Just pop down to your local gem or rock shop and pick up a nickel-iron meteorite.

No. Under the "Outer Space Treaty of 1967" (short title) no one (individual or government) may own any part of outer space. The idea is that it is part of the "common heritage of mankind" much like international waters. The treaty was signed by the U.S., USSR, and UK. It is generally considered binding on all nations (and their citizens) as part of international law.
