Boyfriends and girlfriends happen at any age. Puppy love is powerful and seems very very real. I remember! But where are they now? It may seem old fashion, but waiting until you know exactly who you are and what you want to be is a good time to enter a relationship. Place your energy in yourself, studies, hobbies, clubs, friends and family. Use your youth to explore who you are. I think a first real boyfriend should happen in college, because then you know slightly more about who you are and what you want. You will also better handle tough emotional things like sex. And you'll look back and realize the benifits of waiting for that boyfriend/girlfriend relationship (with or without sex).

16 or 15. One of you should be able to drive because parents driving you on dates is absolutely ridiculous. It's not a real date if your parents are there. Plus junior high relationships are pathetic. The popular people having a new boyfriends like every week, or day. STUPID!

It depends on your maturity level. I knew I wasn't ready for more than a hand-holding-only sort of relationship until I was 19. Know who you are and what you want. Don't be pressured by other kids. If you naturally fall in like with someone your age, then enjoy it, but don't rush it. You only get to be a kid once.
