While a nice small tattoo can be kind of attractive, it seems as though too many people are getting crappy tattoos on any part of their body that isn't nailed down.

Wow! That is a bold statement! I have numerous tattoos and have never been an inmate, a biker, or in the military. My tattoos signify some importance in my life. Each one of them have a meaning to me, if people don't approve of them, then don't look. I would not put anything on me that didn't mean something.

We as a society are just not used to seeing it. A little while ago (20 years) tattoos were rare. Now they're everywhere! In other cultures those same designs are part of that culture. Homo sapiens have been marking themselves up with body-art for millenia. It's just one of those things that will come and go. Imagine these folks fifty years from now! It's amusing and scary, all at the same time!

People first started doing it to be edgy, but now it's the norm. I don't care for tattoos. Small ones are ok like you said, but there's a lot of crappy, expansive body art out there nowadays. I'm one of the only few people I know with virgin skin and I plan on keeping it that way. :)

Yup!! You know, all these people who get tattoos because they are attractive and draw attention. They need to think about how attractive those same tattoos will look when they are 70.

Yes, I agree with you. It's like a bandwagon everyone has jumped on. It's a permanent change being made to one's body...too many people take this way too lightly, in my opinion. It deserves more thought and way better taste than I'm seeing these days. It's an art form and human flesh, not graffiti or a comic strip!
