Hopefully and prayerfully, the "reasonable public" will not allow this to happen... But with all the Bush bashing, and low polls, the new voters just might be swayed to follow the crowd...

How many of the voting public is reasonable anymore? I've never seen such dismay and frustration going on in America as it is now. Many factors are the reason: the war, gas prices, illegal immigration, etc. The blame always goes to the leader of the country and what ever party is in power at the time.

Who would ever think that a Marriage Amendment would be necessary? The liberals and most Democrats are livid with the fear that this amendment may actually be given to the people to vote whether they want marriage to remain a "one man and one woman" institution. They KNOW if given to a vote... it will be a flat NO to Gay marriages.

If this amendment doesn't get through this time..and left to the states to decide... Liberal/Activists Judges will continue to usurp the authority of the state... and allow gays to marry. What kind of future does that offer the children of tomorrow?

Nothing makes much sense anymore... it's as if most Americans want to throw out all morals and anything that stands for decency.

I truly fear the 2008 election... I just cannot imagine living in the world that we do now with Liberals at the helm....

The only way the liberals would make it back is if they continue spreading the lies they spread now. I'm so sick of hearing all of their crap. THe majority of the U.S. sadly believes everything bad they hear from the media and acually think bush is a bad president. Lets review what bush has done.
1. Took the worst dictator in the modern world out of power.
2. Started a war on terror that has kept our country safe from an attack since 9-11
3. Deals with thousands of dumba** libs doing everything in their power to make him look bad.
4. Freed millions of iraqis, who can all now go to school, drive, listen to the radio, whatch T.V.
5. The list goes on

You stupid libs better not email me and say that he lied about anything to our country because that is bull****

A reasonable voting public would look beyond pure partisiam and vote for the candidate who is looking out for the needs of the American public.

We must stop letting our vote be taken for granted.

That's a loaded question. If everyone voting was reasonable (i.e. not swayed by appeals to their hatred of homosexuals or swift boat style deception), then yes, they would. I think the public has seen what happens when the cons are in charge and 63% of them think it sucks.

No. People have acute tunnel vision when it comes to who they vote for. Republican or Democrat is all there is to a great deal of individuals in this country. Third parties are just full of idealistic folks who think they have what it takes to run with rats, snakes, and worms.

The reasonable voting public? Probably not, but it is possible.

The reactionary voting public? In a heartbeat!

Unfortunately, in our electorate, reactionary beats reasonable like paper beats rocks.

Bush's approval rating is down to around 37%. I guess that either means that only 37% of America is reasonable. Except he had much higher support before...so I wonder how it got this low? Was it unreasonable people...or was it stupid policies and a failing administration?

As reasonable is the key word here, I have to say, well, yes, of course.
