I have recieved excellent guidance from mine over the past 20 years, but it fell from its special shelf and is now broken!!! What should I do?

Replace it immediately. I have one on my desk at work and I use it every day. The 8 ball never lies.
By the way, I saw one at Kmart the other day, so you can still purchase them.
