Merely printing money doesn't mean you can "create" money. For every piece of currency printed or pressed, there has to be gold to support it.
Minimum wages are tricky too. There is a federal minimum wage and then a state minimum wage. Raising minimum wage won't really help in the long run because all those who are making more will then demand to make more as well eventually. The gap doesn't change - only the prices of things will increase.
The real answer is to get an education and make oneself a marketable asset worthy of higher pay.

The more money they make, the less money is worth. This causes hyperinflation which means it costs more and more for everything. So that's not a good idea.
You have the power to raise your minimum wage by increasing your skills so you are worth more in the market place. Only very unskilled workers and very young workers are stuck with minimum wage. Even most illegal aliens expect to make more than minimum wage.

Minimum wage goes according to the State government, not the federal gov. he state government has to be sure that the employers within it's boundaries can pay the minimum wage, not all can pay outrageous wages.
Is the US going broke? It seems to me we find money around for all sorts of things.

raising minimum wage is just a short term answer. If you wages go up the company raises prices to cover the added expense, then the cost of living goes up and soon you are no better off than before.

The government's money supply is tied to inflation. If they just printed a bunch more money then whatever's in your savings account would be worth a lot less.
Some Congressmen support raising the min. wage, they support worker's interests. Some oppose it, they support business's interests. Since there is a conflict, it takes a while for anything to get done. If you want to do something, call your senator!

You can't just print money to make more, that's inflation.
The states are going broke because you have voted in a president who has a very weak understanding of economic policy.
A small point, but money isn't really tied to Gold any more, that's a relic from the past century.

Most states make their own minimum wage. And most of them, you can't live off of. in Texas, you can barely live off of $8 an hour. Trust me, been there, done that. Askin the same question for years...

because the people in power are stupid.
btw, making more physical money wouldn't do anything, it would just cause inflation, but raising the minimum wage would.
