how do i change my messenger name from my email address to my name that i want?

You can either open another account under a different ID or.... you can go to yahoo mail and click on options...under that go to general preferences... then change the "from name" to what you want it to show..... It doesn't have to be a real name....If you do it that way.. your email address can still be shown as details or not as you wish.

go to your account. click the My Account link. when the page is loaded, create a new profile. use this new profile in your messenger. select it in the dropdown combobox.
