Regina now earns $9.50 per hour. This is 125% of wgat she earned last year. How much was Regina paid per hour last year?

9100/.28 = 32,500

9.50/1.25 = 7.60

Using proportions:
1) 28/100 = 9100/x
2) 125/100 = 9.50/x

I. $9100 - > 28%
1% -> 9100/28
100% -> $32500

II.9.50 -> 125% inc
1 % - > 9.50/125
100 % -> 9.50/125 *100 = $7.60

28x = 910000
x = 32500

9.50 / x = 125 / 100
950 = 125x
7.60 = x

Just cross multiply 9100/.28 with x/100

.28x =9100

x=32,500
