Of course they can. What kind of question is that???

There's definitely still race problems, but not to the point where people of different races can't hang out or stuff. And it would be really sad if ppl of different races couldn't date each other, cause mixed race black/white couples have the cutest babies ever. And of course there are also the whole like social justice things and whatever, but clearly the cute babies are the important think :-P

I don't see any problem with it. My best friend is black. She tells me some of most racist jokes. We do it in private so that it doesn't offend anyone. I think we have a very special relationship that allows us to pick on our own races that way for each others' entertainment.

There are also many mixed couples in my church. I personally never found myself attracted to someone of any other race, but I don't have issues with people who do.

Those who end up quoting the Bible about being unequally yoked are on the wrong path btw. That passage was referring to spiritual beliefs. Those who have opposing views about God are going to have problems if the concerns are significant enough.

I would honestly love to say "NO" but I'm not going to lie. Personally, I think it depends on your geography, or where you live. A lot of states in southern America have a problem with interracial couples, but I think overall, in other states, they can date, hang out, and be best friends. I mean, we all breathe, we all bleed, we all dream, we all cry, right? Racism is such a primitive, completely ridiculous thing. People should not let it get in their way. Interracial couples and friends should be encouraged. Diversity is a wonderful thing, and we can all learn so much from each other. Letting something no one can change (like skin color) get in the way of that should be avoided.

I see no reason why they shouldn't. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having friends who are of different races or with different religious persuasions. If two people are attracted to each other why should they allow their race, ethnic group or even religion (this part maybe a bit iffy) stop them form having a relationship?

There are some individuals in the world who will frown on it but that's just how people are. You can never please everyone in this world or even in the country or community you live in. All you can do is try to live your life with a clear conscience.

Someone will always have a problem with race, just like they have with other things. I think it's perfectly fine to hang out, be best friends, or date someone of a different race.

Yes, they can date, be best friends and hang out. Only a few people have a problem with race and they should be ignored.

It's not really a problem anymore, but some people r f***ed up and still care about skin color. I think it's fine to hang out with/date blacks or whites. I don't get why people make suck a big deal about it, i mean it's just skin color!

When my son was little he asked me what the difference was between black and white people, and he didn't really understand the whole pigmentation speech I gave ending with the fact that we are all the same on the inside. So I used his favorite food , chocolate to explain the fact that it comes in different colors, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate, but when you bite into it, it is all sweet and gooy!, and we love it all. Now that we have a multi-racial family, he say's that we are like a box of fine chocolates, dark, milk, and white chocolate all in the same box! So yes to your ?'s

Sadly, there is. Most white people feel that those who are not white are inferior (whatever that means) and that it is OK to discriminate against them.

It might be safer going out in a group setting, rather than you and the other, but there is always going to be some pinhead jerk who feels that a white woman is being defiled.

It seems we haven't learned anything.

you're kidding...right? of course not!
...sarcasm...
sure, sometimes people of different races don't get along because of stereo types, but it's REALLY possible. i have a bunch of white friends, black friends, latin friends, etc. and i'm puerto rican. it's ok.
if you're asking this question, then there is still a problem with racism. I have hope for it to end, but i have doubt that it is going to end anytime soon.
if it doesn't feel right to you, then don't, but at least give the person a chance.
besides, we are ALL God's children.
