i'm putting in my two weeks at my job tomorrow. i get two weeks a year paid vacatiob. someone told me that i can lose that vacation pay and then someone else told me that i get it added on my last check. which is it? is it use it or lose it? should i use my vacation before quitting? cuz it's not untill july 28 and i don't wanna stick around that job until then cuz it really sucks.

Each company is different. Refer to your company's employee manua or handbook. Some companies will pay you for your vacation time, others will not.

If your company has a contract or manual get it out and look it up. I just went through this with labor relations. I lost 18 days of paid vacation because my company had a manual that states you can only get paid on the anniversary date from year to year. This is in Iowa but I think it is probably the same in all 50.

Every company is different, most companies will take that vacation pay away if you quit or if you are fired. you should check and see what the company guidelines are.

If I were you, I would take the vacation time and then quit, most people do that, you know. (:0D)

I don't think they can. However they can penalize you and only give you a weeks worth rather than what you are really due...
