I've never tried to repair one but I imagine it's possible. But I'd recommend just replacing it. Try these sites for a used one

Dont be cheap. Go to a local junkyard and buy one! I dont think coolant overflow bottles are something that should be fixed. The combination of heat from the engine, and boiling coolant could possibly break the repair, and make it leak again. For the price of buying JB Weld you can buy a perfectly good used one from a junkyard.

it really depends, some models have a charged system witch has a pressurized coolant reservoir, which really cannot be properly repaired and withstand the pressure, some models will have an unpressurized overflow style tank which isn't pressurized and is easier to repair, either way if you can find a replacement rather than trying to repair it you'll be better off

I don't see a need here to buy another container. Unless of course the hole is to large.

Wal-Mart sells a tube of "clear seal" it's called liquid nails. It's weather proof, does not harm plastic, and seals off in a few hours

It's pliable and somewhat sticky but can be managed with a spatula.

Drain your container, let dry completely, apply generously let dry and WALLA!

Buy a new one. Pressurized systems do not like holes. And a fix will not last long. Ask me I know...dang car.

depends on the car. most expansion tanks arnt pressurized, however, for the price of the tank, aint worth trying to fix it, just put a new one in. if a new one is too expensive, go to a junk yard and get one.
patch is fine as a temp fix to get you out of trouble, but, replace it.

Buy another one... there's too much riding on it to depend on some makeshift repair... they're not expensive anyway.

They are usually some kind of plastic and you will have to find a specific kind of patch that will adhere to that plastic. Go to your local auto parts store and ask them if they have a patch kit.
