The only way to possibly delete multiple E-MAILs without using the CTRL or SHIFT buttons would be to delete the folder that the E-MAILs are in. However, I believe this is only applicable for personal folders, folders other than the Inbox.
It is, however, quite simple to hold the CTRL or SHIFT buttons and highlight all of the E=MAILs and then deleting them.
Of course, you could always delete your account. Though that would be drastic measures.

Click and select the first message, then hold down shift, and click to select the last message, and everything in between will be selected. Or use the key combination Ctrl+A which selects all as well.

Don't know what email server you have, but with Yahoo you can click on each box next to the unwanted email and then at the bottom you hit "delete" and all messages are put into trash or spam, whereever you want it to go.
