There will be a large crowd and I'm very nervous. I am VERY outgoing but I would rather recognize people than be recognized!

I take it you have to give a speech. Try to start at the beginning, when you started with the company. Use funny, memorable or inspirational anecdotes about your co-workers that helped you along the way. Overall it is your day, and I am sure the people you work with will appreciate being reminded of the fond memories you have of them. Congrats and good luck!

Thank them for working with you. Start with a light hearted comment or two. Maybe share some memories of the person or persons you want to recognize.

25 years at any job is an accomplishment and should be recognized. Be proud that your company does acknowledge this milestone and accept your accolades proudly and graciously.
