Lets just say, I might have somebody's personal info ( social security No. Credit cards, etc. ) If I use them to make purchases online, how can I be caught?

1st off, I do not codone the misuse or illegal use of any persons information without their permission. If you have a person'spersonal information, you should burn the information.

Should you decide to go the other route, say you make a purchase online, well, the merchendise you buy has to be shipped somewhere, right? Most online merchants will require shipments to be sent to a billing address or a shipping record which is on file with the credit card company or bank.
Further, most banks and credit card companies will alert their custmoers if and when a purchase over a preset amount, say 100.00 dollars is made.
Other companies, such as capital one, don't eve authorize the charges if the location of the merchant(store) seems out of the ordinary, or if the purchases are not typical for the accoubt holder(not what the account holder usually buys).

All this aside, your shipping address along with your IP address, login info and other little clues you will undoubtedly leave around, will lead to a visit from the local police, sheriff's office or maybe even a federal agency.

Hope this helps
