It all depends on the person. For many many people that I know (including myself) it has worked wonders. It has Benzoyl Peroxide which works well with some people's skin. As with any other medication, which Benzoyl Peroxide is, it can be irritating to some people - making their acne much worst.
I hope you've tried other OTC acne medications before spending so much money on Proactive. At least try those with salicylic acid as the active ingredient, just to rule that out of the choices. That way, if the salicylic acid face wash works, you won't have to spend the money on proactive.

I don't use Proactive. But I've seen this question asked before on this site and most people said it don't work. I never saw anyway who said it did work. But I guess it worked on Jessica Simpson and Alicia Keys and probably many others. Everyone is different. Certain things work on certain people. If Proactive doesn't work for you, try using something with a Benzoyl Peroxide in it. Better yet Talk to your Doctor/Dermatologist. I'm very sure they can help you better than we can.

I love Proactive! I've been using it for about 5 montths,but noticed a difference in about 3 weeks. No more pimples, and overall improved skin texture.

No it didn't work for me or the people that I know who have used it I guess it depends on your skin,I'm allergic to the main ingrediate in most acne creams so I don't know any cure cream or anything.But I hope they come out with smething cause ance is embaressing!I say try the dermatoligist that's what i'm soon going to do because they can give u stuff that can work!

Proactive is a very good product and dose help benefit the skin while in use......... down fall once you stop using it it back to breakouts .

No. that crap sucks. All it is, is benzoyl peroxide. I use this stuff by Image called clear cell salicylic cleanser and it cleared my skin right up in about a week. it is the only thing that has ever worked for my skin

Yes it sure does. I used it for about 3 years and I hardly ever broke out. Now that I have quit using it I dont break out as much as I used to. I loved that stuff!

I use it and I like it, but I get annoyed with the three step process, but it's good. I've heard it doesn't work for everybody but give it a try.

well the time I used it, it was ok but i had real serious acne and I gave up and demand to my dermatologist to put me on accutane yea it was risk but damn it I look real good now trust me i have the b4 and after pictures and since im a woman it was really embarrassing to have acne on your back butt and breast now my self esteem is good and i even where halter tops w/my back out accutane was great

Never tired it but friends of mine have and it has really cleared up their skin!
