All solutions have the same symbol....
before clicking on the ball, instead of picking just one double digit number pick a few double digit numbers.
For example I picked 69, 99, 23, 55
69-15=54 = @ symbol
99-18=81 = @
23-5=18 = @
55-10=45 = @
And so forth.... I get the same crystal ball ans of @
The ans symbol changes each time you click on the link
Check it out for yourself
Its not complex math.

The final answer will always be a multiple of nine, so all of the choices on the screen that are multiples of nine will have the same symbol.
Examples,
10, 10 - (1+0) = 9
23, 23 - (2 +3) = 18
33, 33 - (3+3) = 27
34, 34 - (3 + 4) = 27
48, 48- (4 + 8) = 36
In fact, from these examples you can see that the answer will be 9x, where x = the first digit of the starting number (or the tens).
Anything in the 10's from 10 to 19 will end up as 9 (9 x 1)
Anything in the 20's from 20 to 29 will end up as 18 (9 x 2)
Anything in the 30's from 30 to 39 will end up as 27 (9 x 3)
.. and so on

If you look at the list of symbols it is actually only 21 symbols repeated over and over again. It randomly shows one of them and every now and then it will be right. The fact that there are only 21 symbols makes it decently likely to get it right.
Also some of the symbols are repeated a lot in the middle numbers, ie between 60-20. This trick relies on the fact that most people are going to choose medium numbers that they can deal with easily. The chance of it guessing right is probably around 1 in 10.
EDIT: Nice call ne0teric. Dead on. I hadn't noticed that the math worked out like that. I thought the symbol shift was a semi random movement to confuse.
