Yeah it's like a One Hit Wonder kinda like Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" or Los Del Rio's "Macarena, remember those?
It was originally recorded by Toni Basil, featured on the movie, "Bring It On" which was about cheerleaders.
Basically this song has become an anthem of sorts for cheerleaders.
