i had a cyst before, it was made of fluid, they removed it with a syringe. it's not surgery, didn't hurt much and i felt soooo much better when it was over.

hopefully that's what you have, you don't even need to have it removed mine was painful so draining it made me very happy.

i had a mammogram and an ultrasound, i don't know what fna is.

best wishes and a prayer for you.

Malignant means cancer and it needs to be removed. You might need chemo or radiation to make sure the cells that escape are dead too.

If it's beign that means not malignant, not cancer. You don't have to have surgery or it removed, that's your choice. They usually want you to because something more serious can hide behind it and they wouldn't know.

If it's a cyst they can drain it with a needle. If you have fibrocystic breast disease that means there are hard lumpy areas, manual lymph drainage therapy which similiar to a medical massage to the breast can help dissolve it.

I had cancer and am a survivor. I had a hard lump about 3 years ago, not cancer but the surgeon wanted it out. It would have meant a 3 inch scar! I said no, it's not cancer. It was fibrocystic and I opted for the manual lymph drainage, the lump was gone in 1 month after 6 treatments.

Perhaps but you really need the advise of your doctor. Everybody is different and so are cysts, lumps, benign or malignant tumors. Some tumors can be harmless, cancerous or even pre-cancerous (meaning they aren't cancer but most-likely become cancerous). There's nothing you can really do until your doctor tells you the truth about what needs to be done. Hopefully, you can get some answers sooner than later. Good luck and hope everything turns out okay.

I believe that a lump should be removed in that way they can do a good byopsy on it and know for sure if it`s malignant.

It depends on what the lump is. However, you'll probably have to have a biopsy, take a piece of it out and see if it's cancerous. I've had friends have this done, no big deal. The waiting for results is the hardest part.

Good luck.

most of the time they remove the lump on the off chance that it will mutate and become cancerous. ask questions. don't let them mess with your body if they aren't willing to satify your questions first.

i've had benign lumps removed. not from my breast, but i'm sure they could from there as well. it's painless (or was for me) and easy to do. once again, wasn't in my breast, but i think it should be fine. feel free to IM or email me anytime. God bless you and take care.
