Not usually. But I guess if I had to choose on the spot, I'd pick a firmer type package over a bag type package (like Pringles over potato chips) because there are fewer broken pieces.

The hourglass shape, especially. It works on our lizard brain. (that's the part of our brain we don't control, but controls us) The advertisers and marketers know this, and they continuously invent newer, sexier containers so that it is like finding a newer, sexier mate all the time. We are at the mercy of the advertising we allow into our lives.

I do find myself leaning toward buying things that come in cute or unique containers. I love small versions of something. Like the 6oz coke bottle.

Yes...for instance I like ginger ale in cans, although I can have any of the other ones out of bottles. But the ginger ale must be from a can. It tastes better to me and doesn't seem flat, butit could just be all in my head!!! Also, I prefer milk in the plastic carton.

Sometimes I'll stop and look at the product if I see it and the packaging is cool.

I love stuff in retro-y containers, like pop (it is POP not SODA!) in glass bottles and things like that.
