My cousin stated that she was raped but let the guy give her oral and she also returned the favor. After questioning her alot her story changed and she stated that she came on to him. The guy is in jail because he was much older than her. I think that she needs to be punished. Do you agree?

There are times when women, in this case a child, will lie about rape because they regret having sex in the first place. Then there are those who lie about not being raped because they can't deal with the judicial process. You may want to tell her parents about her confession, so they can use this information in their decision-making and future practices with her.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, this girl is 13....a child, I don't care what she looks like, dresses like or said to this man...that was a crime in itself. He is a sex offender in EVERY state's laws. Your startling revealation about her confession will not change what happens to him....he's not some teen who's on the borderline of the law.....he's 35 and old enough to be her father.

WHAT?? if this was a 35yr old woman and a 13 year old boy would u be saying the same thing about the 13 yr old?? statutory rape is rape. And her parents how did this happen right under their nose?? Ur blaming the wrong people?? She has do deal with what she did, so should he. U do the crime u do the time.

Well first of all YES she should be punished but Shame on her for even talking to a 35 year old man!!! What the hell is a 35 yr old man doing with a 13 yr old anyway and shame on him for doing it os as i see it he should be where he is cause he is just nasty and she should be punished for lying and beeing a little fast *** girl with a much much older man. She should still be playing with dolls or girls her own age. Shame on them both!

if she said he raped her, it's cause he did. It's called Statutory Rape. Even if she consented to having sex, and she's not legal in your state, then she was still raped. The reasoning behind that is that she is too young to make the decision to have sex or not and therefore it's like the man took advantage of her. If he was a lot older, he should have known better. And why be older and have sex with someone a lot younger?

Yes. I mean was it rape or not? Is this guy in jail for rape or sex with a minor. Two different things.It doesn't matter how old the guy is, its how young is the girl? If she lied about being raped to the police and he is in jail for that. She needs to report the matter immediately.

If she's a minor and he's much older than she is, I don't think her lying makes any difference. Have you ever heard of statutory rape? That's when an adult has sex with a minor, no matter what the circumstances are (even if she agreed with it).
The truth is that NO ADULT should be sexually involved with a minor.
How old is she anyway?

She is 13 and he is 35, he should be in jail. He took advantage of a minor and that is against the law!!! He is exactly where he needs to be.

I don't know, but I do think she needs phsyciatric help. Obviously there is something wrong with lying (calling attention to yourself) and coming on to an older, way older man. I do think that that man should stay in jail though, that's sick and wrong, no matter what the situation is.

she don't need to be punished.... SHE NEED HER *** WHOOPED. I don' t know what state your in but if she report that she lied plus he's in jail she will get at least 2 1/2 - 5 years for false accusation and arrest. So if you feel you need to do something I say do one of those
