Some models of cam sensors must be gaged when installed. You need to check out the installation procedures for your car.

Good Luck

take the camsensor out and with a mirror and a flashlight look into the cam sensor hole in the timing cover, have a friend turn the engine over slowly while you are looking in the hole and look for a magnet mounted in the cam gear. if it's missing, that's your problem. Then remove the timing cover and cam gear and replace the broken magnet, while you are in there, replace the cam gear, timing chain, crank gear and tensioner.
