Lately Ive been having a burning/sting feeling on my stomach, around the top. (like where you would set your hand if you are sitting down) Its on the outside, but it hurts really had. I notice it more when Im up and doing things. Plus when I get hot or stressed it hurts more. O and when fabric like my clothes or my bed sheets hit it the wrong way that hurts too. Ive tried lotion and a hot bath/compress and nothing works. Is this weird and not normal, or am I totally over reacting. Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if maybe someone might know what it is?? Thanks for reading!

The burning is your skin streching because the baby is growing faster than your skin. The best thing I can say is #1 don't scratch.
get Palmers Pregnacy lotion or cocoa butter and rub your stomach (espically at this stage) that helps gives your skin elasticity so you will not get strech marks. if you already have them It'll stop more occurances. Future advice if you have more kids start from the day you find out your pregnant

I would try some Palmer's Coco butter. Your skin is so stretched that there are stretch marks even up on the top of your belly. From perspiration and the stretched-ness it is overloaded. Try that and see if it works. I wouldn't use any of the Fashion body butters, they contain fragrance which may lead to more uncomfortable skin. I had this with my son, and even went to a dermatologist after my ob/gyn couldn't find anything wrong with me.
Good luck!!

I've never heard of this before. It could just be that your skin is so streched out it can't take it. I would continue the lotion maybe one for sensitive skin and maybe ask your doctor if there is anything else you can do. The last month can be the longest and the hardest. Congrats and good luck!!!!

Your skin has had to stretch, and stretch, and stretch some more! No wonder you are feeling this burning! Have you tried cocoa butter? Just wear loose cotton clothing, try oatmeal baths and keeping rubbing in the cocoa butter!

It's probably just your skin stretching, and when your pregnant your more sensitive to things, could be the laundry detergent your using, or the heat, maybe it's a heat rash, I wouldn't worry but ask the doctor about it next time you go in to be safe...congrats on your baby on the way...God bless

Your NORMAL!
Your tummy is big and pulled tight.
Your over reacting. you will be ok in 4 weeks...lol
I always hated that feeling but after a few times you get use to it.
Try to wear real loose clothes and not let anything rub against your tummy
Good Luck.

If you can see a copy of this book, "What To Expect When You're Expecting" by Arlene Eisenberg, Heidi E. Murkoff and Sandee E. Hathaway B.S.N. See page 435, it has your symptom listed on it, and a Treatment. But please check with your practitioner first. Good Luck, and Happy Birthing!

Have you used any new lotions, soaps, creams? It sounds like to me you are having an allergic reaction to possibly something you used or ate. I would talk to your OB. You could have hives maybe. Definantly check with your doc and good luck with the baby. Pregnancy did strange things to my skin.
