it's all in his head, he sees some part of you that just does it for him, it wasn't anything you said or did, if he is truly in love with you, you don't have to be in love with him, why must you try and control his feelings? let him be in love with you as long as he isn't stalking you or harming you. why does the female sex think they are in someway responsible for how a guy feels about them? like they can turn love on and off, I remember a while back a gurl said to me, I don't remember saying anything that would give you the impression that I cared for you, that hit me right between the eyes, it made me think long and hard about the idea that women think they allow men to fall in love with them, that most women don't have a clue what love really is. every person you meet or love will not be your soulmate, you meet them for a reason , to learn a lesson and move on, that woman taught me a valuable lesson. you can't control someone elses feelings. if they truly love you, you can't make them mad enuf to quit loving you (not for a while anyways and maybe never). let him have his love and don't hurt his feelings, you can scar him for life. it's not hurting you any. and you may figure out a way to hurt him bad enuf that he will hate you forever but just because you can make someone hate you doesn't mean you can make someone love you at your will. thousands of people have asked the same question on here, how do i make someone love me, you can't, that's a choice they make on their own.

Did he tell you he was or ya just guessed it...? I'm guessing you are both kinda young (teens.. and to me everyone's young.. I'm 53/F, pretty damned old I'd say.) It's hard.. cause when I was in h.s. I had someone that worshipped me and my folks told me I had to go away to college (he went into the army) and he wasn't 'good enough.' It always haunted me that I dumped him ya know.. (****, this is history.. what do you care, huh? lol) Ya gotta let him down easy, honey. (I know, cause this old flame told me years later I destroyed his life.. he meant it.. I did.) Can ya get someone else to help you talk to him too? you can use some help (gf or malefriends) here.. It'll take a time or two to get the message through to him too. g'luck! later (melancholia)

talk to him. gently, tell him that you do not feel the same way and hopefully he will understand that and back off.
if not, get a restraining order.
