It has it's up's and down's. If you get a long haul type job you'll be away from home quite a bit. You'll have to deal with traffic. You'll have to deal with idiots in cars that will treat you like a slow moving target. They will cut you off, get in front of you and immediately hit the brakes, refuse to stop even though you are backing up! etc... And if you have an accident you may lose your job! That's pretty much why I never got into it.

some make only 10 and hour and some make 45 and hour
it all depends what type of job and truck you drive...
if you drive a bread truck, you might be lucky to make ten an hour, some construction and cement truck drivers make 45 and hour.
and if you drive tractor trailer the pay is somewhere in between..again depends on what type and what company you work for..
look into it and then go for it
it is a fun job..
