I followed one once and found a bunch of leprechaun's having an orgy on top of pot of gold...creepy :)

Well, it's actually depressing... rainbows aren't actually arches like one might believe. It's really a circle and if you were to actually take the time to (and were successful to) follow it to the end, you'd end up back where you started. The next time you see one, pay close attention to the shape of the arch...
Yea, so maybe that's why if you find the end of one you'll find a pot of gold.. because that's one special rainbow!
