my system restore was once able to go back months, but now it can't even go back to the day before...the way i figured is sombody downloaded games with virus that prevents me from going back and restoreing my computer........am i right?

think i would go to microsofts help site and email this to them.not sure if is virus or software prob.

Some of the critical Microsoft patches will remove earlier restore points to prevent you from being able to go back to a point before that patch was installed.

Its not a virus. Viruses do more harm than erase system checkpoints. Its only a system worm that was downloaded into your comp, or sent to you via file transfer.
