Well it is great if you yourself find one! But you have to have the knowledge to know if it really is an asteroid or something else. :)

You need to finish your question, I'm not exactly sure what it is.

I'll guess though.

Most asteroids, or at least the easiest to find ones here on Earth, contain large quantities of iron and nickle. These can be found with a metal detector, however many Earth based rocks also contain large quantities of iron, and the detector will find those too.

Places where these meteorites might stand out, such as in the ice fields of Antarctica, are good places to look. Deserts also can prove to be easy hunting grounds.
