i know there is something you can pour in the tank and remove the trash but what is it called?

Not sure if you mean a gas tank needs to have sediment and so on removed. You need to pull the tank and gas lines and take them to a radiator shop. The can flush the tank and coat it to prevent rust. Just call around and ask if the flush gas tanks and gas lines.

IF you literally have trash in the tank (like say a leaf or rubber fell down there)..... nothing will work, short of taking the tank off and draining it and rinsing it out. If its varnished gas..... yeah, seafoam.....marvel mystery oil... etc. will do it.


Btw... the wierdest thing I have seen was a spark plug in someones gas tank!!

There should be no conflict in upping the octane, especially since it'll be a mixture with your normal use 87.
