I think if you wash in oatmeal it will even take away the stench of skunk....so there must be something special about oatmeal. However, you would smell like the quaker oats guy...

Alternate gym clothes, and always try to wash them right away. Baby powder covers up smells, if you need to be somewhere right after.

You need to soak your clothes in a solution of vinegar after they are laundered.
Treating the underarm areas with a solution of vinegar and bicarb soda may be the solution.
Nylon or other synthetic fabrics tend to retain odours more than natural fibres such as cotton or wool.
Maybe you need to consider which brands you buy.

You've got mildew. It's tough to remove, wash them or hang them out to dry as soon as you get home. Wash in hot water with baking soda.

Baking soda is good and gentle for the wash.
You could also try rinsing with vinegar [white].. This cuts many odors. I have tried this and it works... cant remember where I first saw it though...

wash them more frequently...
get a few other gym clothes so you can rotate them...
this will make them last longer and smell less...

Take febreeze with you and keep it in your gym bag and spray them after you take them off.
