also little things about it:

No sound comes out from the laptop.
-The mouse doesn't seem to function- it works perfect if you plug in an external USB mouse only.

There's also a blue screen that comes up every once in a while. Sometimes it appears while starting the computer, and sometimes it will apprear at random times. It will give some kind of error message, then you have to restart. If you boot the computer in safe mode, the blue screen does not show up at all.
This laptop originally comes with Windows XP, but I installed Windows 2000 on it, because it is more stable that way.

No idea, but if you list the specs, I can give you a ballpark figure (I'm sure others can to). A quick search really didn't turn up anything useful.

Well, considering the condition it is in (if we are talking about hardware issues) though reinstalling Windows may fix some of those problems, I'm guessing you'll get $175 to $325 for it. The reason is that newer (and faster) laptops can be had for around $450. And that $325 figure is pretty far out there, you more than likely end up with something around $250 for it.

The worlds best place to find a value on something is Ebay. But since Dell, HP, and all those other companies make multiple upgrades available for each series they release it can be hard to give an exact value on a computer w/o knowing the specs behind it. Ram, Processor, Harddrive, ect.

You might try http://ebay.com and compare , they should have some and probably the most accurate option.
Heres a service that checks prices of sold items

A free service but better if you pay.
