Religion is the expression of hope for civilization - it comes in many forms and is the best hope for a people.

Religions, no matter where thier origin, or their history, have more in common, than they have in difference.

All religions believe in a all-powerful God, (or Gods.) They all believe that the future of mankind hangs in the future of pure, wholesome, and Godly beliefs.

The future of the world can be saved through religious dialogue, if the pundits of each theology are willing to accept the validity of all the others.

Indeed, the end-fighting between religions is a byproduct of every religion declaring itself as the "One and Only " religion. Everyone - you, me, and even your enemies, have valid religious values.

Hatred and war come about when we cannot accept others. It is not their weakness, but it is our inflexibility and lack of tolerance and wisdom that makes divisions between God-loving and God-Fearing humans.

Religious dialog is a second step - the first step is Dialog. If people talk, they may accept. Stop the bombs - including the "surgical - precision" bombs dropped from Stealth Bombers, and maybe the IEDs will stop.... And the talking might start.

It depends on what your beliefs are. I feel that people from all religions can theoretically get along with each other. I am a Catholic Christian and I am more than willing to live among and get along with my fellow Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddists, etc. Religions have many differences, but if the underlying premise of your religion is peace and love for mankind then I believe that it can play a constructive role in dialogue between people.

Common Interest?

Sharing a topic that is debatable inspires relations and communication.

Even if no resolution is found, perhaps the nations can find a common ground one day.

If they don't talk they never will...

i don't think that could ever be possible.there are too many religions for that. we all would have to be on one accord if we want to build, but people feel too strongly about their religion and confinde themselvse to only one belief. acceptance and understanding is a start. one day maybe.
