I produce photography work. Where is the best place to start selling my work. I want to sell it cheap and with no over head costs.

These are all one of a kinds prints. I think I need a market that can see past normal thinking. I had tried to sell my work in a gallery in St. Joe, but that was the worst market to start in, I had some connections. I think that KC has some open minded people who appreciate different types of art work.

Have you tried galleries in the Crossroads District?

They are mostly painting shows and events, but will represent a talented artist no matter the Art.

You might also consider selling them on the street at a First Friday event there -- on the first Friday of the month, naturally. Someone might see your work and want to have you represented in their gallery. You might even be able to sell them out of your car trunk, but there are usually a number of street vendors... why not you? Or at the City Market on a weekend morning?

Crossroads district at a first friday event. See if a local gallery downtown will allow you some space for showing.

There is ALL kinds of artwork there. VERY open minded.

Try taking some of your stuff to the Bulldog they display local artists work. Many area restaurants do & it's a great way to start getting recognized.
