I know alittle about motorcycles, at least enough to get me in trouble with one that will do over 200 mph.
Kentuckien: get a life, most harley riders are cleaner than a lot of you yuppies are. They just dress nicer than you yuppies.

Well of course there are a lot of people who know how to work on a motorcycle. Strange question.

No, sorry, there's no way to fix a bike. Once they start breaking down, their days are numbered.
If your bike is not working well, I recommend you throw it away and buy a new one. I have a broken bike removal service. Just call and I will get that non-functional POS out of your way.

yep
first wash it, you don't want to get dirt in the engine
next, read the process manual and make sure you have all the tools and parts (just like baking a cake from a recipe)
make sure you understand what the manual is asking you to do
then do it
