Most of these are solved by dividing the amount by the time period.
Example: $945 / 6 weeks = $157.50 / week
243 Miles / 9 hours = 27 miles/hour
Unless you need to show long division, this would should be sufficient.

1. 243/9=27miles/hour
2. 945/6=$157.50/week
3. 24+38=62
so the ratio is $38 to $62; $38/$62; $38:$62 those are the three ways to show ratios
4. A different answer look at it but jesse gets paid more
5. 6/24 =.25 or 25%
6. 9100/.28=32,500
7. x*1.25=9.5
x=9.5/1.25
x=7.6
she made $7.60/hour
check ya later ♥

1.) (Jenny) 243/9=27 miles per hour
2.) (Bobby) $945/6=$157.50 per week
3.) (Friday night) $38 + $24 =$62
38/32=61% on dinner
24/62=39% on movies
4.) (Sharon) $739.8/42=$17.61 per hour
$737.17/39=$18.90 per hour
No, they do not make the same hourly rate.
5.) (Claire) 24/6=4
100/4=25
So, 25% are red.
6.) (Shannon) 9,100=28%
100/28=3.57
3.57x9,100=32,487
She made $32,487 last year.
7.) (Regina) $9.50/1.25=7.5
She earned $7.50 per hour last year.

for the jenny one...
you divide 243 by 9 to find out the rate, which is how many miles she drove each hour. to show your work you could do 243 over 9 =...and then whatever the answer.

i will answer your first question ( i just finished algebra homework so i cannot do any more math than that!!) 243 miles in 9 hrs equals 27 mph, 27*9=243. if you drive 27 mph for 9 hrs you will travel that many miles....simply divide the miles by the hours and you get miles per hour...good luck!!

rate of speed is in miles per hour, which means miles/hours
weekly salary means dollars per week, or $/weeks
you can calculate the remaining ratios in a similar fashion
