i've been asking people around what i should do after i graduate. you see, i'll be starting university in october. so, during my free time i want to do something. i don't want to do nothing. after going around, i've managed to narrow down five choices to do:

i could either work at:
a) JICC - it stands for 'jakarta international convention centre'. i live in indonesia and this place is for social work. there are also course works such as, cooking, painting, and other stuff. but i have to pay to do those course works.
b) Red Cross Indonesia - i think everybody knows what the red cross does.
c) LSM - it stands for 'lembaga swadaya masyarakat'. i know that nobody has a clue what that meant but it's just an indonesian NGO. i would like to work there but i heard people need to have a degree first in order to have a spot in LSM.
d) an orphanage - there are plenty of orphanages here. i could volunteer to help with the kids.
e) or at a kindergarten - working here can guarantee a paycheck.

so?

Volunteering to work with orphans would be such a blessing for the children. Won't look bad on your resume either.

Choices d and e are excellent, you need to get experience and only volunteer will give you that, so if you like children sign for volunteering on you free time and whenever they need someone they relay more in who they already know, good luck.

orphanages or a kindergarten sound good to me :). that way you can spend a lot of time with kids, because if you plan to have children, it will be good to have the experience (baby-sitting taught me a lot over here). :P
