When I was younger I wouldn't really respond what you'd call 'naturally' a lot of times, at least as far as I remember. As I was responding to something, sometimes I'd think of the emotion in my head as I was doing it., like 'I'm crying now...my eyes feel smudgy. My hand really hurts'. Or after some party, 'I'm supposed to feel happy right now, but I only feel relieved'. Is it normal for little kids to think like that? Has anyone else ever done that?

I was just asking a question. It's a free country and you didn't have to respond if you didn't want to. Why did you call me an emo kid?

You're probably more of a thinker than a feeler, that's all. If you're interested in taking a free personality quiz, go to Humanmetrics.com and take the Jung typology test. It talks about your personality in four parts: extroversion v introversion, sensing v intuition, feeling v thinking and judging v perceiving.
The comment you made about feeling relieved after a party might just be because you are an introvert. Being an introvert doesn't necessarily mean you don;t like people, it just means groups of people wear you out.
Take the test; it's real enlightening.

I have felt like that. I had an emotionally distant dad. My mom was always trying to draw me out to talk to her, like she needed me to malamate with her. Also it was a very Christian home where I had to behave a certain way, think a certain way and feel a certain way. My emotions got lost. I didn't realize it at the time, but by 30, I made my family give me distance, and then after a while I saw it. I don't know your experiences, but that was mine. Another reason is mental issues or depression. Good luck searching and becoming in tune with your feelings, and finding out your reason why.

Yes, when I was little I always thought of things like that. I always felt as if everything was ethereal..emotions, life, thought...
Even at 15, (my current age) the thoughts are still with me, and I've even tried researching things to figure it out. Kabbalah provides a nice little explanation for it. If you are truly thinking of those things (which, I would think, would make you a bit more intellectual) you should be able to understand and consider Kabbalah. It's quite interesting, really, but who knows what to believe these days.

Absolutely. My son goes through this as do I at times. My son has aspergers syndrome (a form of autism, high functioning). I have ADHD. I have felt that way through most of my life and now starting to break out of that mold. Have you ever been tested for ADHD or ADD or perhaps even Bi-Polar disorder? You may want to check some of these situations out.

What you are "supposed to feel" isn't necessarily what you do feel. Ask your self why you feel this way. Know thyself. It could be something as signifigant as you are a maverkck and common folk cannot accept you becasue your different to hormones of adolence wreaking their havoc. It's ok not to think or feel like others as long as your not hurting yourself or others.

Yeah- I cover up my fear and my grief with anger, and I never really get REALLY angry. (usually) My anger is just a cover up. But when my grief comes washing over me, I just want to be angry and hurt someone. When the fear comes, I want the grief. It's way messed up.

I think autistic kids don't react normally to what most children react to. Some people are very mildly autistic.
