For SIXTEEN years he has been cheating. I'd say "the hell with you" and move on with my life. Of course he is crying now, he had his cake and was eating it too! Don't' let his tears fool you.

Interesting... I would ordinarily say 'tough luck' but.. I'm older like I'm guessing you have to be (I'm 53/F.. you're probably not quite that ancient yet tho? lol) Anyway, as I AM older I'd say give the swinger a second chance.. Hell, what ya got to lose? I know you are pissed as hell.. (I would be, **** yeah!) But w/that much time under your belts you have a lot more at stake.. (and I realize this more than some kid writing you an answer here.) You obviously do have second thoughts or you wouldn't be writing in here.. am I right?! Maybe this is what he needs to straighten him out.. He's scared of losing you, eh? it's kinda sweet (tho I know.. I know.. it's just in the male genes sometimes to be a 'stud.') Hell, think of it this way too.. what kind of a stupid, dipshit COW would go with a married guy taht long?!? (Damn, she's dumb!) Good God!.. (Blame her.. why not? she's got it coming.. the slut extraordinaire!) go on.. do it.. forgive him, honey.. later- melancholia

I know that it is going to be hard but you need to get away, if he has done it before what makes you think that he is going to stop. I have been there and done it and the best thing for me was to get away and I am happy now. You will find someone that will treat you the way you are supposed to be treated. By the way when they realize what they lost; they always start crying and then you go back and it is a never ending cycle. Just get out!

Move on .... This is the end of the line... I don't think you would be able to take this man , when you don't even know where he came from and then make love to you when he gets home or even the mere embrace YUCK!!!! those lips that kisses you are the same lips he used to kiss someone else...This is all about self-respect... but if you don't want to be treated the way you are supposed to then continue making a fool out of yourself . Apologies are accepted and everything is forgiven but it does not mean , you will give him the chance to continue making a fool of you....wake -up girl....this man does not hold the life you have,,, you deserve someone who will love you truly, faithfully and honestly....

It IS possible for people to change, but in this case, 16 years, I think it's a lost cause. Of course he's going to be remorseful now because he can't have his cake and eat it too. He's only showing emotions to get you to cave in, and then he'll turn around and do it AGAIN. There's something exciting and exotic about cheating.. if he's cornered again he's not going to stop and remember this moment.

I say you're done. You need to ask yourself - AM I BETTER THAN THIS?

Are you really asking us this? Come on! You know what the answer is. Ignore him and never talk to him again. Why do you even give him the time to say he is sorry. You need to delete him from your cell phone and block his number. It would be so great if you actually did what needs to be done, and not act like eve4ry other foolish victim of infidelity.

Well, how do I put this...

NEXT! 16 years of cheating? NEXT! This guy knows he was doing something wrong. That is why he hid it from you. NEXT! There is a LOT of guys out there that are lonely, looking for someone to share their lives with that do NOT cheat!

The only thing he is sorry about is the fact that he got caught.

Honey, a dog doesn't change it's spots over night. He probably isn't sorry he cheated, he's probably sorry he got caught. If you forgive him, I PROMISE...he'll do it again. It's not worth it. Save the heart ache that you would feel later (not to mention the humiliation that you took him back and he STILL did it again!) and move on NOW. Good luck.

well, that's usually the way it goes, especially when the realization sets in that you are losing your partner. but cheating for 16 years? that certainly is a big mistake.

Tell him that he is 16 years to late, he should have thought that he made a big mistake when he was sleeping wit all those whores. Dont take him back.
