No. But using it to download copyrighted material is! And if you have to ask, yes, what you're planning to download is copyrighted. If you're using it to download stuff that random people made and put on Limewire it's fine, but if you're using it to download commerical (i.e. normal) music, movies, TV shows, etc. then it's high illegal..

Oh, and even if you pay the monthly fee or whatever, it's STILL illegal! That fee goes to the people who make Limewire and has nothing whatsoever to do with the music or video you're downloading! What you're paying for is faster downloads, no ads, more features, that kind of stuff, not licenses from the people who own the copyrights to the stuff you're downloading.

Anything that cool is illegal. BearShare, LimeWire, Kazza, old Napster. Your still getting free songs.

The program itself isn't illegal, But some things that you download with the program is...... movies still in theaters, music videos etc

Any music program where you pay no money and get songs over the internet is illegal.
