well, last time my BF met his XGF as a "FRIEND."
the next day, he was hugging me tight and all nice to me. well, he told me that nothing happened. But his reaction was... so nice to me. Does this mean something happened between them?

Hmmm.
Does he usually not hug you and act nice to you? Is he a jerk?!
Anyway, when I was seeing my ex-boyfriend while still in a relationship, let me tell you, it was definitely not just as "friends." We were still very much in love, but we didn't do anything. However, we talked about our feelings for eachother, which is still bad news for the other guy.
My point is that when I returned to my boyfriend, I always acted more standoffish than nice. I looked at him in disgusted ways and couldn't have sex with him, because I was thinking about the other guy (the love of my life!!)
So I would say he just loves the crap out of you. If you still feel uncomfortable I suggest you talk to him about it. If you two are real, then you'll be able to talk about it okay.

it can be that he really appreciate and chose you as his GF. not neccessarily when he meet his XGF it means something had gone wrong and he is compensating his feelings by treating you nicer. It can be that he cherish you alot and want to treat you better. The best thing that is able to happen is to have faith in your BF and enjoy the love showered upon you by your BF. sometimes the concept that guys treat their GF very well after seeing their XGF is because they had done something unfaithful as such want to compensate the guilty feeling but its not likely in all situations. therefore maybe have more trust and faith will be a possible solution to handle this problem.
