I am running this through Comcast Cable. It is the Microsoft Windows ( the one that "everyone" is using). Does this have anything to do with the problem?

Being Internet Explorer has been the most popular browser for the last 20 years, it has been the target for adware and spyware attacks. Your registry is probably so infested with crap you wont get it out short of reformatting your hard drive. I have been a user of Explorer for most of the 20 years I have been on the web and can tell you that no matter what spyware tools you run you cannot stop this. I finally changed my stubborn mind and tried Firefox. It is absolutely AWESOME! Download it and then uninstall Internet explorer. Download the yahoo anti spy for Firefox and run a scan. You will be good to go! By the way, Firefox is far more customizable!
