The ACLU has defended the constitutional rights of Christians and non-Christians alike. Check out the articles below about how the ACLU went to court to sue for the rights of Christian street preachers.
The ACLU exists to defend our rights as guaranteed by the Constitution. The reason why there are more non-Christian cases brought to trial than Christian ones is simply because Christians are more frequently guilty of limiting other people's constitutional rights than of having their own limited.
Incidentally, did you get in trouble for wearing a Christian t-shirt, or is this a purely hypothetical question? I'd be very surprised to find a school district where students were not allowed to wear crosses or t-shirts with Christian messages on them. In fact, at my son's high school, they allow freshmen and sophomore students who are not normally allowed to leave campus to have lunch off campus whenever the church across the street sponsors a free lunch in an attempt to convert heathens to their faith. I don't think you'd EVER see the same thing if it were a mosque or temple.

They do that all the time? Where have you been? The only hypocrites are the Christians... the vast majority of the time...
Many of you clearly have any idea about what the ACLU actually does?

My son wore one this year on picture day and was forced to wear a school shirt for pictures. I was upset because I had to prepay for the pics and did not want the school shirt in it. I was even more upset that he was forced to change. I called the school counselor and talked with her and straightened things out. Why don't you have a parent call and talk to the school. Find out why you got in trouble for it. Good luck!

They would be hypocrites. They'd get behind the kid wearing the Confederate flag shirt, but they're really not into standing up for Jesus. Rather ironic, since liberals love to tell you that Christ was a liberal.

It depends. Our dress code at my school says that shirts with racial or religious slurs are not allowed. It would be something to look into. A little research doesn't hurt anyone. what did the shirt say???

I doubt it.
In theory, they should... but I don't think the ACLU likes Christians very much.
